Tuition and service terms

Terms of Service

These terms explain the arrangements for online tuition, bookings, payments, cancellations, student access and use of LogicPath Education materials.

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Please read before booking:the key lesson rules are 24 hours' notice for cancellation, full payment for missed lessons or late cancellation, and the original end time applying where a student arrives late.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to online tuition and related educational services provided under the trading name LogicPath Education by Ahmed Syed in the United Arab Emirates.

By booking or continuing to use a paid service, the parent, guardian or adult student confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.

Any important arrangement agreed separately in writing, such as by email or WhatsApp, will form part of the service agreement.

2. Tuition services

Tuition is normally delivered online and may include live teaching, coding practice, exam preparation, assigned resources, homework, marking, assessments and progress feedback.

The content, pace and teaching approach will be adapted according to the student's level, goals, curriculum, examination board and progress.

LogicPath Education will use professional judgement when recommending priorities, but cannot guarantee a particular grade, examination result, school place or academic outcome.

3. Bookings and lesson times

Lesson dates, times, duration, frequency and fees are agreed with the parent, guardian or adult student before paid tuition begins.

All lesson times are interpreted using the time zone stated when the booking is confirmed. Families are responsible for checking time-zone differences where lessons are arranged internationally.

A regular lesson slot may be offered, but it is not guaranteed indefinitely unless this has been expressly agreed.

4. Fees and payment

Tuition fees are confirmed before the first paid lesson or before a change in rate takes effect. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted per hour.

Payment is currently made by bank transfer using the details supplied privately by LogicPath Education. Parents should use the requested payment reference where one is provided.

Invoices may be issued for individual lessons or selected groups of lessons. Each invoice remains linked to the relevant lesson records.

Payment should be made by the date stated on the invoice or otherwise agreed in writing. LogicPath Education may pause future lessons where fees remain overdue.

5. Parent or student cancellation

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or request a change to a booked lesson without charge.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, the lesson will normally remain chargeable because the time has been reserved and may not be available to another student.

A missed lesson with no notice will normally be charged in full.

Genuine emergencies may be considered individually, but any waiver or rescheduling is at the tutor's reasonable discretion and does not create an ongoing exception to this policy.

6. Tutor cancellation

If Ahmed Syed needs to cancel a lesson, he will contact the family as soon as reasonably possible and offer to reschedule it.

If a mutually suitable replacement time cannot be agreed, the cancelled lesson will not be charged. Where payment has already been made, the amount will be credited against a future lesson or refunded as agreed with the parent or guardian.

7. Lateness

Students should join lessons promptly and with the required equipment ready.

If a student arrives late, the lesson will normally finish at the original agreed end time and the full booked lesson remains chargeable.

If the tutor is late, reasonable additional time will be offered where practical, or another suitable arrangement will be agreed.

8. Technology and online access

Families are responsible for providing a suitable device, reliable internet connection, working audio and any software reasonably required for the lesson.

Students should test access before the lesson where a new platform or resource is being used.

Where a lesson is materially disrupted by a technical problem on the tutor's side, a reasonable adjustment, credit or rescheduled time will be considered. Technical problems on the student's side do not automatically make the lesson non-chargeable.

9. Student conduct and participation

Students are expected to participate respectfully, follow reasonable instructions and use lesson time appropriately.

Harassment, abusive language, deliberate disruption, unauthorised access attempts, cheating or misuse of private resources may result in a lesson being ended and tuition being suspended or terminated.

Parents should share any relevant learning, accessibility or safeguarding information that is reasonably necessary to support the student safely and effectively.

10. Homework, assessments and feedback

Homework and independent practice may be recommended as part of the learning plan. Progress depends partly on the student completing agreed work and acting on feedback.

Assessment results and tutor feedback are professional educational judgements intended to support progress. They are not official school grades or formal examination-board results.

11. Private student area

Enrolled students may receive access to a private learning area containing resources, lesson information, homework, feedback, assessments and invoices.

Login details must be kept private and may not be shared outside the student's immediate household without permission.

LogicPath Education may suspend access where there is a security concern, misuse, unpaid fees or the tuition relationship has ended. Reasonable access to relevant records may still be provided where appropriate.

12. Educational materials and intellectual property

Lesson materials, worksheets, interactive guides, recordings, explanations, code examples, assessments and other original resources remain the intellectual property of LogicPath Education or the relevant rights holder.

Materials supplied as part of tuition are for the enrolled student's personal educational use only. They must not be copied, resold, published, uploaded, shared publicly or distributed to other students or tutors without written permission.

Separate conditions apply to purchased digital products. Please read the Digital Resource Terms.

13. Lesson recordings

Lessons are not recorded by LogicPath Education unless this has been clearly agreed in advance for a specific educational, quality or safeguarding purpose.

Parents and students must not record, screenshot or distribute lesson content, tutor video, audio or private portal material without prior permission.

14. Safeguarding and communication

Communication with children and young people should remain professional, education-related and appropriate.

Parents or guardians should remain the primary contact for bookings, payments and significant concerns. Further expectations are explained in the Safeguarding and Online Lesson Expectations.

Where there is a genuine concern that a child may be at risk of harm, information may be shared with a parent, school, safeguarding professional or relevant authority where reasonably necessary.

15. Pausing or ending tuition

Either party may ask to pause or end tuition. Reasonable notice should be given wherever possible so that booked lessons and outstanding payments can be resolved properly.

LogicPath Education may end tuition immediately where there is persistent non-payment, serious misconduct, safeguarding concern, abusive behaviour, misuse of materials or a breakdown of the professional relationship.

Fees already due for completed lessons, late cancellations or missed lessons remain payable after tuition ends.

16. Service limitations

LogicPath Education will provide tuition with reasonable care and professional judgement. However, academic progress also depends on attendance, effort, prior knowledge, school provision, independent practice and other factors outside the tutor's control.

The website and private portal may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting failures, software issues or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Reasonable efforts will be made to restore access.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated where the service, payment process, technology or legal requirements change.

Material changes affecting existing students will be communicated reasonably before they take effect. The latest version will remain available on this page.
